Symptoms and Causes of High Cholesterol Disease

Cholesterol Disease
Cholesterol is a white waxy substance that can be found in every cell of the body because it is one component of fat (in addition to free fatty acids, triglycerides and phospholipids) are in production by the liver. Cholesterol serves to build cell walls, strengthening cell membranes and make certain hormones such as steroid hormones.
Basically, the body needs cholesterol to make hormones and vitamin D, and is part of bile acids that break down fat in the digestive system. Cholesterol in the body's needs is already provided for in the fat produced by the liver, but if you eat foods high in saturated fat levels of the liver to produce cholesterol even more, causing excess cholesterol. Excess cholesterol can not be used according to its function and will be mixed in the blood (blood fat)
Excessive levels of cholesterol in the blood can cause fatty deposits to stick to artery walls, forming clots and plaque that clogs the arteries and ultimately decide the flow of blood to the heart that can cause heart attack or even block blood flow to the brain perdaran (atherosclerosis) that will trigger a stroke.
To avoid cholesterol disease then we need to know and pay attention to foods that contain cholesterol what is safe for consumption because cholesterol is the culprit of the disease degenaratif because Atherosclerosis can occur in arteries in the brain, heart, kidneys, other vital organs.

Signs and Symptoms of High Cholesterol
Some people experience headaches and sore as the initial symptom. These symptoms arise as a result of a lack of oxygen. High cholesterol causes blood flow to be condensed so that oxygen becomes less. Nonetheless head pain and stiffness is not always a sign that a patient has high cholesterol because it is not specific symptoms and signs. But usually people with high cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia) is known after being found suffering from coronary heart disease or stroke. Cholesterol levels are divided into two parts

1. HDL cholesterol (High Density Lipoprotein) which is the good cholesterol because of its ability to cleanse the arteries because HDL is a fat that can dissolve the saturated fat content, whereas

2. LDL cholesterol (Low Density Lipoproteins) are commonly known as the saturated fat / cholesterol that make deposits and plaques that clog arteries, the fat of this type usually originate in animal foods and processed food products, such as meat, dairy products, chips and junk food
Causes of High Cholesterol
In general, most people assume that high cholesterol is only experienced by those who are old or people who are obese only. But the fact is cholesterol disease can be suffered by anyone regardless of age because the diet is not balancing out as one of the main causes.
Foods that contain lots of cholesterol with saturated fat levels will increase levels of LDL cholesterol (Low Density Lipoproteins), triglycerides, and Lp (a) in the blood. Saturated fat comes from meat and dairy products that will increase blood cholesterol levels. Some plant oils are also known to have high levels of saturated fats such as oils made from coconut and palm Besides an unbalanced diet, heredity, overweight (obesity), smoking and less exercise is a common cause of high cholesterol.
